PHYS 5383 Learning Outcomes - S12

At the conclusion of PHYS 5383, the competent student will be able to, in a time-limited exam-like setting with their own notes, and in homework exercises:

• perform straightforward calculations using the operator method formalism of standard quantities such as probabilities, time dependence of position operator, commutation relations, etc.
• calculate wave functions and energy eigenvalues for two particle electron systems in simple potentials;
• calculate the energy density, energy spectrum and Fermi energy for simple three dimensional quantum systems;
