Textbook Sources
In addition to the campus bookstore, the texts for this course are
available on the web. I was able to purchase Seiden for $50 from an
authorized seller at Amazon, for example, and have it show up the
next day.
If you buy Aitchison and Hey, be sure to get the 3rd edition (in two volumes).
Some web textbook resources:
AddALL.com will give you a price comparison over a large
number of web sources. The lowest price I've seen for Seiden is roughly $33,
and $44 for AH-I, $60 for AH-II:
Seiden
Aitchison and Hey I
Aitchison and Hey II
Some specific sources I've found or had recommended are (there are many many more):
Half.com (ebay), which will also give you a similar price comparison. (S: $30, AH-I: $65, AH-II: $65)
directtextbook.com, another price comparison site. (S: $34, AH-I: $42, AH-II: $60)
Amazon.com (S: $80 (but as low as $45 by secondary sellers), AH-I: $40, AH-II: $60)
ecampus.com (S: $82, AH-I: $38, AH-II: $71)
Barnes and Noble (S: $88, AH-I: $70, AH-II: NA)
Aitchison and Hey may be difficult to get for a while, since the original
publisher (CRC Press) was just bought by another (Taylor and Francis).
You can purchase both volumes directly from the publisher for about $60 each:
AH-I
AH-II
That may be the most likely place to find it in stock on the web.
SMU Bookstore:
Surprisingly enough, the bookstore may be the best place to get Aitchison and Hey.
I just checked on line, and they list both for about $60 each.
They have Seiden for $88, so you'll do better on the web for that one.
