Physics 1010 - Honors Introductory Physics
Course Information - Fall 2020
The Honors Introductory Physics course is intended to provide honors
students with additional activities, information, and challenges to
allow them to broaden and deepen their physics knowledge while
concurrently taking the introductory physics course sequence. Honors
students should be prepared to go a little further than non-honors
students.
Coronavirus Impact: This course will be taught fully online.
Lecturer:
Professor Randall J. Scalise
Meeting time: W 2:00PM-4:50PM on Zoom. (In practice, we will typically finish before 3:30PM)
Office hours: after lecture and by appointment.
Contact:
Corequisite: PHYS 1303, PHYS 1304, PHYS 1307, or PHYS 1308.
Attendance:Students are expected to attend every lecture.
A student who is absent from class without valid reason for two
consecutive weeks will be referred to the
CCC

Grading: 61% is passing
- 20% - Attendance via Zoom
- 20% - Class participation during Zoom lectures (ask relevant questions / make relevant comments)
- 10% - Grand Challenge first collaboration meeting
- 20% - Grand Challenge second collaboration meeting
- 30% - Grand Challenge final presentation
