We've just learned that our long-time friend and collaborator in CTEQ, Wu-Ki, passed away on Monday morning, at home in Seattle. As most of us know, he had been fighting cancer for the last year and a half.
Wu-Ki was the soul of CTEQ for much of its existence, and, although his engagement in the collaboration naturally became less direct in the past year or two, we feel that he never lost his affection for the band of enthusiasts that he helped to found almost twenty years ago. He was doing physics to the very end. It's a loss to us, to QCD and to science, but Wu-Ki left an imprint on our discipline that will have a long, long life.
