I am a physicist. From 1989 to 1995 I worked on detector simulation, physics data analysis, software development and maintenance in the L3 experiment on the Large Electron Position collider (LEP) at CERN. From 1995 to 1998 I worked on detector development for the CLEO upgrade on the Cornell Electron Storage Ring (CESR). Since 1998, I have been a member of the ATLAS collaboration at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). I coordinated an international team on the design and construction of the optical link system for the Liquid Argon Calorimeter (LAr) detector front-end readout. I now coordinate the US efforts (U. Arizona, BNL, Columbia, U. Penn and SMU) for the LAr readout upgrade for the High Luminosity LHC. At SMU I lead R&D programs for upgrades in ATLAS and for the LArTPC front-end readout in Long-Baseline Neutrino Experiment (LBNE). I joined LBNE in 2010 and represent the SMU group in its Institution Board.

I have a wide range of interest in science and science education. I am one of the two co-founders of a company that develops teaching instruments for advanced physics labs. The "muon physics" from this company can now be found in hundreds of universities all over the world.
