PHYS3305 — Modern Physics

Modern Physics consists of Special Relativity, General Relativity, Atomic, Nuclear and Particle Physics, Quantum Physics, Statistical Physics and many more developments in physics in the past 150 years.

This course is an introduction to a few topics in Modern Physics. It will offer basic knowledge about Special Relativity, Quantum Mechanics, Atomic Physics, and a touch of Nuclear and Particle Physics. This course will pave the road for students who plan to take more advanced courses such as PHYS5382 (Quantum Mechanics) and PHYS5395 (Introduction to Elementary Particles) or pursue a career in engineering and physics.
