NOνA @ SMU Meeting Site and Campus Maps
Last edit: 30 Dec '09
Traveling from the Radisson to the Meeting Site
You can walk or drive from the Radisson to the meeting site, Fondren
Science building. A map showing the relative locations of the two is
here. If you drive, you can
park for free around the perimeter of Burleson park. On
Saturday and Sunday, but not Friday, you can park for free
adjacent to Fondren Science (indicated on the map by the asterisk in
the upper left hand corner). In this case, enter the lot(s) through an
open gate and then exit through any lowered gate. All lowered gates
open automatically when approached, without the need for access cards
or gesticulation.
Meeting & Banquet Site Campus Map
Fondren Science houses SMU's physics and chemistry departments and is
located at the northern edge of campus. For orientation, the campus
has a distinct north-south axis. A campus map showing Fondren's
location is here. It also shows the
location of the meeting banquet, Meadows Museum, at the southern edge
of campus. (Parking is free the night of the banquet in the garage
beneath the museum.) A useful landmark when walking is a large
fountain on the campus N-S axis, indicated on the map by 2 concentric
circles. It is lighted at night.
