Dallas Area Airports
There are two relevant airports for traveling to Dallas. Dallas-Fort Worth international
airport is the largest and the one with the most connections.
There are, for example, many daily direct flights between either
O'Hare and Midway and DFW (airport code DFW).
Located west of Dallas and halfway to Fort Worth, it will take
approximately a 40 minute highway drive to reach campus and the
collaboration meeting hotel(s). If you take a "shared ride shuttle"
from the airport to your hotel, I recommend taking
Super Shuttle . The
fare is about $25.00. The other shared ride shuttles seem to be much
slower. Tell the driver you need to go to "the Radisson on Central expressway, near SMU."
The other airport is Love
Field , located in Dallas itself and 15 minutes city driving due
west of campus. Recent federal legislation now permits direct flights
(e.g., American) between O'Hare and Love (airport code DAL). The Super
Shuttle fare is about $15.00. Again, tell the driver you need to go to
the "Radisson on Central, near SMU."
Driving from the Airport to the Radisson Hotel
If you arrive at DFW. The simplest, but not the fastest way to
reach the Radisson, is to:
Use the North exit to reach I-635 and head east.
After 25-30 minutes, merge onto US-75 S via EXIT 19A toward Dallas.
Take Exit 3 toward Mockingbird Lane/Monticello Ave.
At top of ramp at stoplight, turn left and travel just over US-75.
After 50 meters from stoplight, turn left at US-75 service road and head North.
After 130 meters on service road, Radisson is on your right.
In a hurry and need a faster route? See mapquest.
If you arrive at Love Field. See mapquest.
