The agenda for presentations from our group in the Proton Driver meeting on April 19th were discussed. Agenda: Jorge will begin with an overview and discussion about small x physics. John will the present our near and far term goals including quasi-elastic measurements, structure functions at high x, d/u ratio, detector plans and the progress made so far on MC work. Work on Delta_S measurements will be presented via video by Rex or Chuck or will be folded into John's presentation. Bonnie will present neutrino magnetic moment measurement possibilites. Fred will finish up with a theorists perspective on the most exiting non-oscillation physics topics made accessible by the Proton Driver. We continued discussion from the last meeting on MC work. Jorge has almost completed work on code to feed the MINOs event generator. This will tie well into Dave's work. Dave has the MINOs event generator up and running as well as a GEANT model of the detector. Jorge will provide a flux file (flux vs E) and event rate soon. What material is best used in the detector? CH_2 vs. CH vs. liquid hydrogen. Roy mentioned that 3m of CH is effectively equivalent t 1m of CH_2 which is effectively equivalent to 30cm of Liquid Hydorgen. So using liquid hydrogen or even liquid scintillator could really improve things and be worth the effort. Roy also discussed an interesting measurement we might be able to make on pion structure fucntions. John will add this to his list to present at Thursday's meeting. Please see slides from Thursday's proton driver meeting to see what was presented there. Our next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday May 2nd from 9-11am in the Beauty Parlor (WH12NW). See you all then. I will set up video for Rex and Chuck and Fred. Please email me if you do not want a video connection. Thanks! Bonnie
