The purpose of this page is to post new information concerning our course or 
to correct or change previous information. You should check this page frequently.

29 August 2003: Lecture #2 notes are now posted.

A word on homework: There is a minor error in Problem 22 in that the length shown in the figure does not correspond to the length specified in the text. The correct number to use is the length given in the text.

2 September 2003: Lecture 3 Notes have been posted.

4 September 2003:

· Lecture 4 Notes posted.

· Discussion Session with Michael Shearn this Friday the 5 of September at 3:00 pm in Room 110 of Fondren Science.

· Monday the 7 of September Review with Professor Vega from
5-7 pm, Room 110 ot the Dedman Life Science Building (not Fondren)

· Lecture 5 Notes have been posted. We will probably not get through all these notes.

25 September 2003:

· Lecture 9 Notes are now posted.

· There will be no discussion session this Monday.

1 October 2003:

· Grades and statistics for Test 1 are now posted. Click on “sheet 1” to see letter grade breakdown.

7 October 2003:

· Lecture Notes 10 are now posted.

20 October 2003:

· Lecture Notes 11 and 12 are now posted.

28 October 2003:

· Lecture Notes 13 and 14 are now posted

· Cumulative grades posted. Tentative cumulative grades have been assigned to
give you an idea where you stand. To compute cumulative grade your lowest
homework, and lowest test grade, have been dropped. The formula for the
cumulative grade is: ( .2*(Homework Average) + .45*(Test Average) )/.65.
