Guido Altarelli Award 2016

The 2016 prize ceremony was held on 15 April 2016, during the DIS2016 workshop at DESY Hamburg, Germany. It was awarded:

for theory, to Fabrizio Caola (CERN) "for seminal contributions to deep-inelastic scattering and perturbative QCD which have spurred new experimental measurements and new theoretical insights in the physics of fundamental interactions" for experimental physics, to Jan Kretzschmar (Liverpool, ATLAS experiment) "for his outstanding contribution to the knowledge of parton distributions of the proton through the measurements of F2 and FL at HERA and W, Z at the LHC"
