- Make-up Exams: You must present me with a verifiable excuse
in writing one week prior to the scheduled exam. No make-ups
will be given for the final exams.
- Homework Quizzes: 20 minutes long, alternate
Thursdays (002 and 802) or Fridays (001 and 801)
at the beginning of lecture, closed book, based strongly on
the homework. You must take the quiz in the
section for which you are registered!
- Make-up Quizzes: There are none.
- Reading Quizzes: Unannounced, based on the assigned reading,
very short, very easy (if you have done the assigned reading)
- Homework: Due on the day of the quiz. Solutions are posted in the
glass case and in the Science Information Center; answers appear under
the assignments below.
- Laboratory: Students registered for Physics 1403 must attend
a laboratory section (grades are weighted by credit hour).
Labs meet beginning the week of 21 January 1997.
